Description

Willowy. Lithe. Ethereal.

All words that /may/ come to mind when one first lights on eyes on the narrow shouldered girl. A tall youth of about seventeen years. Lucinda's hair is a warm honey blonde that is often kept in some sort of braid. Many times she wears it with a single braid wrapped over the crown of her head like a natural headband. Large pale slate blue eyes have a walled-eye innocence where they sit above her button nose. There is something empty about her gaze most times. When she does smile it comes in many flavours and few of them look genuine.

Summer
Her clothing consists of a full heavy looking black corduroy skirt with thick ruffles despite the weather. There may be some sort of crinoline under the full skirt because it moves with a stiff sort of swish. A tiny waistcoat is worn over a 3/4 sleeve, black, women's Oxford shirt buttoned to the throat. Her collar has been left flipped up with a natural ease. Her slightly masculine choice of waistcoat is done with feminine flair. This vest style garment is done in a pale chartreuse that would be a hideous puke green if not for it's subtle brilliance. The waistcoat shimmers with a soft iridescence when it's worn; fading through emeralds and turquoise tones. It's a pleasant sort of slimy. Cinda also wears a pocket-watch with a visible chain as indication. Boots with demure bat buckles don her feet. A silver bat also rests at the base of her collar in place of her top shirt button. Everything Lucinda wears looks crisp and tailored by a professional hand to fit her perfectly. ((5'9"))

Winter

This cloak is done in a pale chartreuse that would be a hideous puke green if not for it's subtle brilliance. The cloak shimmers with a soft iridescence when it's worn; fading through emeralds and turquoise tones. It's a pleasant sort of slimy. Boots with demure bat buckles don her feet. Outside this time of year it's common to see a black scarf, black earmuffs and pliable dragonscale gloves enchanted to shimmer like her cloak. Everything looks crisp and tailored by a professional hand to fit this girl perfectly.

Background

Her full name is Lucinda Elle Slughorn and she was born right outside of London in her family estate on a brisk November morning; November 3rd 1924 at 4:37 AM. Her mother's maiden name is Elandra Yaxley. Her father's name is Hubert Slughorn; nephew of Professor Slughorn. She has one younger brother named Barclay who is a current first year also in Slytherin House.

The family is Pure-Blood composed of a union between two parents from the Sacred 28. The family has always been very close knit in they would defend each other (or lie) to save another of the blood. That aside they are also known to be a rather distant lot. Each member of the family tends to be wrapped up in his or her own pursuits with a dedicated flair. The parents inflict their passions on the children. Father is the Seeker for the Ballycastle Bats and has been known to bring in a modest sum of money at the cost of long times spent away practicing in Ireland. He refuses to move the family since the estate they own near London is protected and been in the blood for generations. Her mother is a Dance instructor at W.A.D.A.

Prior to Hogwarts Lucinda spent most of her time in the shadow of her mother. While Mum was teaching at W.A.D.A is became a common sight to see Lucinda in the background. Her mother taught her private lessons as well.

In her time at Hogwarts Lucinda has continued to prove that she is an average student with a lust for the outdoors. She prefers the Quidditch Pitch to the classroom. She took Divination which she /doesn't/ seem to have natural talent in but she often thinks she does… faking her way through such things. Her other elective was Care of Magical Creatures because she likes to be outside. She has no special interest in magical creatures but she knew if she took this elective she wouldn't be cooped up in a stuffy classroom full of ancient runes. Snore. Since she began Hogwarts she has been a common sight on the Quidditch Pitch- watching and wanting to join.
