Family Background
Timothy Connor Moody comes from a long long line of Aurors in every generation before him at least one or both of the parents was an Auror. The very first Auror Squad back at the very original development of this faction of law had a Moody in it. So of course being the only child in the family, it was very clearly up to Tim to continue the legacy. He's been breed and then rose since conception even to be an Auror. The Moody's are also a long line of House Gryffindor so of course the pressure was on in that department as well on the young Timothy's shoulders. Pressure is a good word to summarize Tim's childhood, while other children were playing, he was in his family home's office studying the thousands of old case files his ancestor's had ever been a part of. Some say that Tim had the rudimentary level of Knowledge Defense against the Dark Arts well before he was 10 years old. His only release or 'play' was the 'chore' in helping his father's older brother, Liam who was well into his 80s when Tim was a small boy in his Uncle's Dark Room. After retiring from the MLE, Liam became so dedicated to his lifelong hobby of photography it might have well been a second career and not retirement. Tim loved helping his uncle, fascinated by the concept of capturing all of the beauty in the world forever to share with the future. Tim experienced his first magical showing down in that dark room of a basement. He was alone and was developing a few rolls of film his uncle allowed him to snap himself. In his excitement he forgot to set up the action potion which is the final stage of developing a moving picture. In a near state of panic he closed his eyes and muttered for the pictures to move. Low and behold when he opened his eyes there was the kittens he had taken pictures of rolling around with one another and tumbling out of their 'free kittens' box. Though Tim should have been ecstatic that he had his first magical experience, he was terrified, scared what his family would think that he had an experience like this, and not one pertaining to anything in the way of Defense against the Dark Arts. Tim kept his first experience a secret and later when he displayed some magic when it was pertaining to Defense his family was exuberantly happy, though they often wondered why Tim never fully shared their joy that day. It was a proud day as Connor Moody and Sarah Moody took time away from their very busy Auror duties to see their son Tim off on the Train Ride, there was a somber overtone to it all because earlier in the month dear old Liam passed away and left all of his belongings to his young apprentice 'Tim' so with a torn heart Tim boarded the Hogwarts Express and kept to himself. All through the ride he wore his Uncle's camera around his neck and had A Beginner's Guide to Defense Against the Dark Arts in his lap. He'd already read the thing and so he shoved it off of his lap and began to take pictures of the passing scenery. As he did so he could almost feel his Uncle smiling at him as he often did when they were out taking pictures. It was a small comfort, but some comfort none-the-less.
First Year at Hogwarts
Thankfully there was no family disappointment in the fact that Tim was sorted into House Gryffindor like the rest of his family. The Moody family was then certain that he was well on his way to following in his ancestor's footsteps. He was quite an enigma though, Defense Against the Dark Arts came naturally to him, honestly he was truly already at a fifth year knowledge level of the subject before he boarded the Hogwarts Express. Being around so many children was a very new thing for Timothy, and he didn't take to it very well. He kept to himself and formed a severe stutter when speaking in large groups. Some of the more cruel bullies nicknamed him, 'Mic-Stutter'. Shortly before finals first year, he was put into detention for being caught a bit too close to the Forbidden Forest past curfew for the Faculties liking. They also didn't find his excuse, "I had a perfect shot of a hippogriff flying across the full moon." endearing in anyway. Though once the photograph was developed no one could say that the shot wasn't worth a week of polishing the trophies. Tim hid behind his camera for the most part of the year. Feeling his uncle smiling down at him still brought a bit of warmth to the loneliness he felt. He was a sweet boy and did as he was told, trying desperately to impress his family, mostly his father. So on he goes studying to be an Auror from day one practically, and thus far he's done well in all of his core classes, and not surprisingly, acing Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Second Year at Hogwarts
Much of the same as first year, though by second year Tim has better mastered the art of being out of sight in plain sight. He might as well have been an invisibility cloak. Academics and Photography was all he really focused on and still had no true friends to speak of. His core classes were mostly E's, a few A's with an O in Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Third Year at Hogwarts
Tim took what was considered the easier to pass electives being: Muggle Studies and Divination as the carefully cultivated Moody's Law of Hogwarts is the Auror to be only focused on the classes that is required for acceptance into the Auror training program: Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Charms, and Potions.
Fourth Year at Hogwarts
One day out of nowhere Tim who was minding his own business up in the lower branches of a tree during early spring was taking a picture of a robin and it's nest on the other side of the tree when the tassel end of his scarf was yanked on and he came tumbling out of the tree. A very cross housemate of the same year was scolding him for skulking around in trees and taking pictures of people and that there was such a thing as privacy. Once the air returned to Tim's lungs and he could see something other than stars and feel his backside once again, he tried very very hard to explain that he was only taking pictures of the robin and not her. Come to find out that she was the daughter of a very famous playboy and Pro-Quidditch Player and she unfortunately was used to photographers hiding in all manner of things to take pictures of her and her family. She was terribly embarrassed once Tim was able to get across through his disastrously horrid stutter the truth of the matter. She insisted on walking him to the hospital wing and was very nice after nearly breaking his neck, highly apologetic. But it was then that Tim got the first pangs of a desire for companionship. He enjoyed having someone who was patient enough to help him through his stutter. Over the year she even helped him rather considerably with the stutter and it lessened more and more as time went by.
Fifth Year at Hogwarts
OWLs, dear heavens OWLs did very little to help Tim further learn to get past the stutter, but his new best friend kept pressing it along. Since discovering that Tim was an artist his friend willingly, in fact volunteered to often be a model for him. Surprising everyone around that such a popular girl would be hanging out with such a loser geek like him. Some even thought that they were a couple, as they were seen all over the place together and no one had seen Tim so happy before then. But alas they were just good friends. Tim still remains studious in all of the core subjects. But with his social life growing he was looking forward to the next year when he would be able to narrow his classes down to five.

Sixth Year at Hogwarts
Alright, so even though the classes got narrowed down to five. Charms, Potions, Transfiguration and of course Defense Against the Dark Arts the work load was triple fold. Now more than ever he heard a great deal from his parents, like they were holding their breath for six years waiting until he made it past OWLs, submerged in an abyssal ocean of work and duties, anything but writing him or doing anything more than make sure he had presents under the tree on Christmas for Christmas break. Tim wasn't hurt, he understood the duties his parents faced. He almost missed the years gone by where the family Owl wasn't seen bearing five letters at once, every letter filled with tips and advice and old notes on all of his courses. It was overwhelming, but he finally really felt like he was a Moody. Not some impostor - an artist in Auror's clothing so to speak.
Seventh Year at Hogwarts
Since they first met in fourth year, Tim and his beloved friend started slowly to grow apart, or no, it was more an issue of paths. She got her first boyfriend the summer before their Seventh Year and he was very happy for her. He even told her so in a stutter free voice she had helped him to master. All of the Bullies lacking their old ammo, and honestly now wary of the mystery boy who was going to become an Auror and had a thing for cameras just called him 'Irish' now. That nickname spread quite a bit it wasn't exactly very original, but Tim preferred it over the old nick name, he even used 'Irish' with a little four leaf clover in front of the name as his moniker for when he published some of his pictures in the school newspaper. Graduating was an amazing thing; he won the award in Defense Against the Dark Arts and named 'Most Likely to Surprise You - Watch out for the Quiet ones' in the last edition of the school paper before graduation. On the platform 9 3/4s as everyone were giving their good-byes, Tim received his very first kiss. His only true friend he ever had stepped up to him, gave him a kiss on the lips and then wished him well in his Trainee Trials bid him a fond farewell and stepped through the secret arch and out of his life.

Post-Gradute and Adult Life
Shockingly Tim was able to convince his parents to take some time off and have a very first family vacation together before he started his Auror Training. Unshocking to Tim is that his parents managed to work through the entire vacation. Camping in the Black Forest turned into a stake out of some Dark Wizards that were Grindelwald Minions. The minions found themselves in Azkaban after they returned home. Oddly Tim found the trip to be very pleasant. It wasn't the average family vacation, but it was a Moody Family Vacation and he was becoming more accepting of his families ancient roll. So by the time it came to pass that he started his training Tim was never so gun-ho before. He was dubbed the top trainee within months and over several years he proved himself to truly be a Moody. Family life was never better, they'd all have breakfast together before heading down to the Ministry together. It took 18 years, but the Moody Family was no place for a child, Tim realized that looking back, he needed to go through his rites of passage before truly joining the family. It was drawing close to Tim being through with the Auror training program 5 long years were coming to an end, the fruits of his labor dangling from a tree just out of reach. But it was then that family life once again to a spin for the worse. Sarah and Connor went missing if it weren't for the change in the family togetherness Tim might not have thought anything about it. But as his 'graduation' grew closer and closer and days turned into weeks and then a month with no word from his parents Tim decided something was terribly wrong. They've gone into deep cover before, so Tim figured that's what was going on now. But not even the Ministry would fill him in on what was going on. So Tim took matters into his own hands. He disguised himself and ventured into Knockturn Alley and kept his ears open for any word on what might be going on with his parents.
As Tim suspected he got more information out of spying on the Dark Wizards than he did from pressing the MLE. His parents indeed were undercover and were in grave danger, so Tim acted. He missed his graduation and fought through a swath of Grindelwald's minions to finally reach his parents to warn them that their cover was blown and that they were being used. Tim found them tortured and near death. His father was more mentally tortured with hundreds of dark spells while forced to watch as his wife was more physically harmed. Sarah died in Tim's arms after whispering "I love you, I am so sorry." Tim found himself under attack by his own father driven into deep madness watching his wife die. Tim nearly killed his own father trying to get him to calm down. Just as he was getting his father to calm down, a Dark Wizard returned to finish off the job and Connor stepped in front of the green blast that was aimed at Tim. Tim used the distraction to nail the Dark Wizard with a few spells and had enough time to bring his mother and father's bodies home.
Two long years Tim was lost in depression. He never became an Auror, bitter that the MLE told him nothing, nor did anything to help his parents when their cover was blown. Again as he did when he was a boy, Tim turned to Photography. Hiding behind a camera to try and capture the little glimpses of hope, beauty and peace in the world.
