Character Information
Portrayed by Paddy Mitchell
Name: Anson Abbott
Aliases: -
Birthday: June 7th, 1925
Position: Gryffindor
Lineage: Pure-Blood

This young man stands at about five feet and eight inches, with a slender build — but there is muscle there, and power. His physique is that of a trained athlete, with no spare fat on his frame. Though he is old enough to shave, he doesn't seem to need to — his skin is utterly flawless, peaches-and-cream, with a healthy glow. He has been in the sun, but it doesn't seem to have left a lasting impression. His mouth is coral-pink, bow-shaped, slightly too large for his narrow, delicate nose. Sapphirine eyes are set beneath narrow, flat, eyebrows. His lashes are almost too long for a masculine appearance.

Anson was born on June 07, 1921, a chilly summer evening, in Godric's Hollow to George Abbot and Ismene Dimitropoulou. George is a Pure-Blood who works in the Ministry of Magic for a living, as a rather subfusc administrator. Ismene is a Pure-blooded Greek who works for Witch Weekly. They were excellent parents for Anson, and childhood was a comforting, loving, experience. Since the family was comfortably wealthy, Anson had access to all the usual schools and hobbies. A few of his favorite hobbies growing up were learning about Quidditch and broomflying in general. He lives to fly. The Abbott and Dimitropoulou families are both Pure-Blooded and liberal in spirit, and 's relationship with all of them is solid.

When at Hogwarts, he's mixedly popular with his fellow students due to his brash and cocky nature. Anson began at Hogwarts in 1936 and hasn't graduated yet. Duelling, Broomflying, and Athletics are some of Anson's extra-curriculars.

Being sorted into Gryffindor House was a surprise for Anson, but he's enjoyed it! Third Year was the year that Care of Magical Creatures and Arithmancy were taken on along with the core classes. O.W.L.s in these classes were adequate, but only just. Upon returning to Hogwarts 6th year, Anson will begin taking N.E.W.T. classes of Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms and Potions. He has also gone out for the Hogwarts Quidditch team as a chaser, hopefully replacing one of the graduating students. Perhaps he shall even make himself into the Team Captain — after all, he has the ambition.

RP Hooks

  • Genius Broomflyer: Anson loves to fly — it's like the best thing ever. He'll make friends with anyone who enjoys feeling the wind in their face. Well, maybe not anyone. Slytherins aren't invited.
  • Arrogant jock He means well. Really, he does. The trouble is that Anson is so sure he's the best at everything. Want to take him down a peg?

  • Cocky As Hell
  • Wealth: Comfortable
  • Genius Quidditcher

Logs featuring Anson Logs that refer to Anson

George Abbott
Father: (BirthYEAR -1890) Pure-Blood. "Dad, it's fine. Really. I'll take care of this." George Abbott loves his son, but he isn't quite sure what to make of him. Most Abbotts are Hufflepuffs — George was one himself. Most Abbotts don't have quite the same swagger that Anson has. He has a tendency to try to overprotect his son.

Ismene Abbott nee Dimitropolou
Mother: (BirthYEAR - 1891) Pure-Blood. "Aw, thanks, Mom. It's the broom I've been wanting!" If George is a bit perplexed at his son, Ismene is the indulgent mother to a T. Whenever Anson really needs something, he goes to her. It's a good relationship. At least on his part.

The Once and Future She dumped me! And I can't stop thinking about her. When I'm not thinking about all the others. Despite everything, I trust Morrow. She'll realize she made a mistake, eventually.

Sweet-seeming Slytherin She's not a snake, not really. Doesn't have the meanness in her. Right?

Little Lunatic The boy is deranged. Something is deeply, truly, wrong with him. I'd like to rearrange his face.

Carefully-Perfected Enemy I look forward to wiping the smirk off your face, Malfoy. On the Quidditch pitch, of course.

The Rival I don't know what Morrow sees in him, but I see trouble. Personally, I just worry for Morrow. Not that I'm jealous of the Slytherin. Never.

A True Lion Josie's a Gryffindor, through and through. I know she's nervous about her role as Seeker, but I'm certain she'll pull it together. More than that, I know I can leave her guarding my back and never worry.

A Concrete Friend I haven't known Violet for very long, but the first time we had a real conversation, she came to warn me. I feel as though our friendship has dried fast and stuck hard. She's still shy of me, though. Not too long ago, she was calling me 'sir'.
