Synopsis
The study of magical history, including names, dates, and locations significant to the wizarding world. To begin new students off in their first year the Syllabus is mostly education on Hogwarts and its Environs. In later years the class goes on to cover important events such as major wizarding laws taking effect, the truth of King Arthur and his Royal Court as well as a 'fun' look into the facts behind other tales and legends of the wizarding world.
Each particular subject roughly takes up two weeks time. Every class is two hours long.
In order to take History of Magic at the N.E.W.T. level a student must have an 'A' Grade in their History of Magic O.W.L.
