Aliases: Jack
Birthday: April 6th, 1928 (13)
Position: Student: Ravenclaw
Lineage: Pure-Blood

Description

At around 5'1, with a frail, featherlight build, Jaclyn Summerbee is far from imposing. Add to this the long, white-blonde hair and wide green eyes and one might in fact consider her appearance angelic. A wide jawline is softened somewhat by a dainty chin and rounded cheekbones, particularly given that her lips are set often in a smile. Across an impishly upturned nose rests a pair of cat-eye, horn-rimmed spectacles - neither subtle nor very fashionable but they suit her, oddly enough.

At the moment Jaclyn is wearing a Hogwarts uniform; judging by the colouring she must have sorted into House Ravenclaw. A black cardigan edged in blue and bronze covers a crisp white Oxford shirt, buttoned from the belt-line to the collar and accented with a blue tie with narrow bronze stripes. The shirt is tucked neatly into a matching black pleated skirt. Skirt and stockings meet at the knees, and demurely heeled black Mary-Janes are worn on her feet.

Background

The youngest child of the Oxford Summerbees, Jaclyn has grown up in a loving family, if not in wealth, and their 'from home' Mail Order Apothecary business has no doubt affected her own intellectual growth. Her mother, Joephine Summerbee, nee Cornfoot, always delightedly encouraged the girl's immersion in books on any subject, though as a herbologist herself she was just as happy to have her daughter out in the potting shed or gardens, getting her hands dirty. Albert, her potioneer father, preferred her ah.. clean, and was more about instilling the precise art of his trade. It was expected of both Jaclyn and her elder siblings to lend a hand where needed, to keep the business running at its measly profit - for Jack, this usually meant labelling.

Sorted into Ravenclaw - a complete lack of surprise to anyone - Jack has slowly but surely come into her own during her time at Hogwarts. Happiest in Herbology, she's also displaying a knack for Potions (of course) and she's pretty good on a broom, for one so small. She promptly found herself a place in the unofficial 'Book Club', seeing as she spent much of her time in the library, relishing the rather less dusty books available for devouring. Not only does she study hard every day in the common room or the library, but she also runs a little 'business' of her own, selling notes and even drafts of homework to those who fell asleep by accident in the History of Magic class in that morning. The enterprise has proved successful enough to make some extra spending money, which is always nice.

Jaclyn is something of a 'jack' (haha) of all trades and master of none. Which is fine for the moment, she's only in Second Year. But she'll soon have to start considering what she wants to do in regard to her future. There's something of a pipe dream of becoming a healer for a Quidditch team, but she'll really have to knuckle down in Charms and Transfiguration in particular for that to happen.

Nerd: If she's not with a book in her hands, she probably has some random thoughts about recent classes.
Bully Bait! She's little. She has glasses. She's smart. Like it or not, those are qualities that can single one out.
Aspiring Healer: Jaclyn wants to qualify as a healer, one day, and maybe work for a premier Quidditch Team.
