Description

Standing at 5'8'', Laureano is a young man of British heritage with an athletic and fair complexion. He usually shows an immovable expression of deep sobriety on his face, with a pair of pink thin lips and a stern gaze of his blue eyes. Laureano has blond hair with a casual side-parted hairstyle.

When he's not wearing his Ravenclaw uniform, Laureano often wears denim clothes with dark, generally brown or coffee, shirts. The young Maestro has the habit of tilting his head when lost in thought.

Background

Laureano Maestro was born on April 14th, 1924; in the heart of London. Raised by a witch mother, Lorelei "Lori" Maestro, well-known in the musical world, and a wizard father, Henry Lima, an ambassador for the United Kingdom's Ministry of Magic's Department of International Magical Cooperation (I.M.C.) to the Spanish Ministry. Perhaps nontraditional by muggle standards their family chose the Maestro surname to represent their family instead of Henry's Lima surname. The Spanish roots of the Lima family however were not cast aside; Henry taught Laureano Spanish fluency and customs. Laureano and his mother's brother, who was an actor, would often put on performances and stage-fights of Spanish history, which was Laureano's favorite subject matter.

Holding onto the Spanish culture and language was important to Laureano because his father was away in Spain so much and it made him feel closer. Especially when political tensions rose in 1936 as the Spanish Civil War began. Henry Lima, could come home, he just doesn't and that fact has hardened Laureano. As for his mother, it's a bit of a similar situation, she is very busy with her songstress lifestyle, touring around. Leaving Laureano literally on the side lines of his Uncle's stage performances. In these long waits during plays he knows by heart Laureano would occupy himself reading and people watching.

Sorted into Ravenclaw House at Hogwarts in 1935 he further delved into books and matters of the mind and social studies. Because of his pseudo-orphan life-style he would stay at Hogwarts through the minor holidays. Only during the Summer would he return to being a stage hand for his uncle. "Laurean" was what many at Hogwarts call him, dropping the 'o' just sort of became a thing. The faculty and students not to mention characters in his books and in factual history all became extended family to him. Academically he did very well. Third Year he took Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies. Favoring them to the point where they were the only N.E.W.T. level classes he took.

Occasionally he and his mother would have some time together here and there during summer breaks. The relationship with his mother was never as strong as the one with his father, as she spent long periods of time on stage, touring Europe and gaining fame as a singer. Still, she always tried to connect with the young Maestro through music, awakening in him a deep interest that would increase over the years, thus enhancing his music-loving side.
