Description

Expansive, well-manicured grounds and gardens surround this stately manor house located in the midst of St. John's Wood. The roses are, of course, impeccable, and the lawns perfect.
The white-lacquered front door, framed by brick and ivy, opens into a voluminous foyer with vaulted ceilings and marble Tuscan columns framing each doorway. The floor is also marble, tiled in black and white diamond patterns, while the ceiling, framed by ornate crown moulding, is enchanted to resemble drifting clouds. A grand staircase sweeps up to the floors above, while two overstuffed wingback chairs of black velvet are arranged around the hearth along the western wall. The walls nearby are lined with bookshelves, full of heavy leather volumes close at hand. Above, a crystal chandelier hangs down from the apex of the ceiling, lighting the area.
The house is comprised of numerous rooms across multiple wings. The ground floor is reserved for the more "public" areas: dining hall, ballroom, a few sitting rooms that can be used for a variety of things, and so on. Off of the dining room is a kitchen of five star restaurant proportions. The estate even has servant's quarters taking up the far eastern wing of the house, while the entire west wing is given over to a combined museum and library, featuring a number of rather rare and priceless quidditch artifacts.
Most of the private chambers can be found on the second and third floors, connected via various stairways here and there around the building. The floors are by turns marble or hardwood, waxed and polished in bright shades. All hallways and most private chambers also feature finely woven area rugs. Doorways, arches, and banisters all show exquisite wood-carving, and many areas of the home are visibly enchanted.
