This is a cozy three-story townhouse, comfortably if inexpensively furnished. The floors are oak plank, weathered from long use but kept quite clean. The walls similarly feature oaken wainscoting, though this too shows many signs of age, battered and notched in many places but brightened by a fairly recent coat of varnish. The walls are aging plaster with a fresh coat of paint, the ceilings high and plain with slightly crumbling crown molding.
The first floor opens from a small porch into a sort of mud room with hooks along the walls for hanging coats and hats, as well as shelves along the floor for shoes and boots. Umbrella stands decorated with old newspapers sit in the corners. Beyond lies a tiny foyer, where an aging wooden staircase proceeds ahead to a small landing before it angles upstairs and to the right.
Doors in the foyer open west into a small parlor and north into compact but well-appointed kitchen that looks rather pristine and seldom-used. An equally small dining room lies at the far corner of the house, connecting to the kitchen and the front parlor.
