Description
The Bayswater neighborhood along the streets of Craven Hill Gardens is a rather high end comfortable working class area and the residence reflects that to every nook and corner. Soft Persian rugs cover dark glossy hardwood floors. Even in the middle of London the house has a natural feel, a woody scent permeates throughout the home. Plants and flowers often decorate nooks and surfaces. A mud room just inside the front door is lined with racks and storage space for outside wear and poor weather accessories. Stairs occupy the hall the mudroom opens up into very close by the foyer.
The living room area is hospitable and warm, tidy without looking sterile. A family lives here and there is pride in that. Over the fireplace there is a family portrait of the Toke Family on their famous holiday in Ilfracombe. Other family pictures are displayed on that wall as is a pair of small needlework crests of the Summberbee and Lovegood Pure-Blood families. The small semi-formal dining room has a table and seating for six. The wear on the chairs makes it clear that five chairs are often used with one to spare for a guest.
Within the kitchen there are several appliances such as gas stove, sink, and refrigerator. A whimsical little childs fortress has taken over the little room under the stairs. However some emergency supplies share the space as it is the spot where the family takes refuge during a bombing. Up those stairs is a shared full bathroom and four bedrooms.
