Because of its neighbors York Terrace is an unusual neighborhood. Two and three story blocks of brownstone flats fill the north border of the street, giving them a great view of Regent Park and making them a ideal place for young professionals to live in. But having a variety of institutions of higher education nearby including the Royal Academy of Music and the Westminster Business School adds a good amount of college students to the mix making this en eclectic area where professionally dressed 30somethings are as likely to be rushing up and down the street's sidewalk as are groups of younger men and women in shirts sleeves and ties or casual blouses and skirts loaded up with books or musical instruments.

Base Townhouse Description

An empty townhouse. Several packing boxes are stacked here and there. The neighborhood is a rather comfortable working class area and the residence reflects that to every nook and corner. Bare floors and walls are freshly scrubbed and painted. The stringent scent of cleaning products and fresh paint is strong and ever lingering. This apartment is comprised of several rooms. Every apartment is slightly different in its lay out. But there are always of course the necessary rooms and at least one indoor bathroom. A small hall that acts as a foyer just inside the front door is lined with racks and storage space for outside wear and poor weather accessories. Every apartment comes with a living room area that's most usually adjoined to a dining nook which is attached to a kitchen. Within the kitchen there are several appliances such as gas stove, sink, and refrigerator. More often than not the floors are all hardwood, waxed and polished in all shades from pale pine to dark oak.
