Description

Tall vaulted ceilings and the gleaming cream Venetian tile floors that reflect them create an air of affluence and a sense of space. Dark green runners lead the way between the velvet ropes that arch between brass posts creating aisles that lead to each individual cashier's station. Off to the sides behind the rows of elegant Doric columns are the polished ebony doors leading to the offices of the banks various officials and hidden behind a cage made of inch thick steel bars, which itself is behind the cashier's counter, is the nigh-impenetrable vault door, fully eight feet in diameter. During the day the bank if full of official looking men and women dressed in business suits hurrying about their business or standing politely in line to speak with the cashiers all of them under the watchful eyes of uniformed and armed private guards.
