Description

From the street, the home is painted matte black and a dark, rotten brown. The walkway is made of uneven stone, beset by a thin grass lawn. A wrought-iron fence surrounds the place, and tarnished golden letters near the rickety, black door mark it as Number 37.

Inside, the home is gloomy and morose. Shadows linger where they shouldn't, and cobwebs mark many doorframes with a peculiar decorative design. Gas lamps, or a magical variation, provide the majority of the light.

To the right of the entryway is an opening, though it is cramped, which leads to a living room. The room is furnished with a long, dark green sofa, an even darker wooden coffee table, a massive, old, green rug and four decrepit bookshelves with even more decrepit tomes set upon them in uneven rows. The lighting is shrouded with dark green. None of the walls are square with one another, and the wood flooring creaks beneath the weight of footsteps. To the left of the entryway is an old staircase made of a dark, dull wood. The steps and banister are rounded and smoothed, as if ancient. The second story is small, containing a single master bedroom and bath whose doors are usually sealed shut.
