The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures encompasses a huge area within the Ministry of Magic. A large portion of its offices is set aside for the Beast Division which has a variety of sub-divisions including the Centaur Liaison Office, the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures, the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau, and the Ghoul Task Force. There are a few desks organized in neat little rows on the main floor of this divisions area but most of its allocated space is taken up by cages of all sizes used to house anything doxies to kneazles to ghouls as their fates are decided by the Beast Division's personnel, be it relocation or something worse.

Unlike the Beast Division's offices which look very much like a miniature zoo the Being Division area of the department, safely ensconced behind its walls and air filters, looks more like corporate offices. Every employee works behind nice oak desks and each cubicle has to nicely upholstered guest chairs. The cubicles are clearly marked as the Goblin Liaison Office, the Office for House-Elf Relocation and the Werewolf Support Services office, each sub-division has its own Division Head and two employees.

The Spirit Division has its own Division Head with five other employees whose desks are all arranged in a nicely appointed common area. The walls of the Spirit Division's office area are lined with shelves full of ornate glass bottles in all the colors of the rainbow, ceramic jars covered in runes, Arabian-styles lamps made out of brass, copper, bronze and other more exotic alloys and metals, and a variety of other ghost and spirit catching tools.
