This classroom appears to be currently out-of-use. More often than not, though, the area proves to be an out of the way gathering place for groups that might disturb the sanctity of the library. Desks here are rarely in any kind of uniform order, having usually been rearranged by the last group to occupy the premesis. Random copies of old and perhaps out-of-date textbooks are stacked haphazardly on the shelves around the room. Littered here and there are also old work books, charts, the occasional love note hidden here in secret and even a few Marvin the Mad Muggle comics thrown in for amusements sake.
Gabrielle is sitting at a desk, hair pulled back in a loose pony tail that's already falling out.In front of her is a deck of tarot cards. She's glaring at the cards, not really /doing/ anything.
The door whips open and Theodore stomps in. Before he even looks to make sure the room is empty, he whips his notebook across the room and it hits the wall, papers falling everywhere. "Damnit!" he shouts, and he slams the door shut behind him.
Gabrielle shirks in her desk some trying to make herself smaller, as Theo comes storming in, which may account for him not seeing her immediately. She'll watch him wide eyed, and glance at the door, trying to calculate if she could make it when his back is turned.
Theodore just paces then, his cheeks red, as he tries to calm down. He does this for nearly a minute before he sees Gabrielle. He sighs, pursing his lips and shaking his head. "Artie." He grits his teeth, and then moves to pick up his papers. "Sorry."
"It's ok…." Gabby will slowly move out of the desk and start picking up the loose papers that are near her. "Are you ok?" she'll ask in a small voice.
Theodore grumbles, continuing to pick up the papers. "No I'm not okay. It's like the worst day EVER." He huffs, and slams all the papers into a stack.
Gabrielle flinches slightly as theo slams the papers down, "Oh…ok….Well, What happened?" She'll try to place the stack she's collected onto his.
Theodore continues to grumble, "My team betrayed me. I think Blue's strippin' me of points." He makes a growling sound. "I just wanna get outta here. Arrgh."
Gabrielle blinks, confused, "You team…betrayed you? What ….you mean your Quidditch team? And what did Ajax do?" She'll nod to the desire to want to leave, "Theo, calm down….please?" She'll pause for a moment, then step next to him and place a hand on his arm, if he allows.
Theodore lets her, and he sighs, closing his eyes for a moment. Before he opens them, he says quietly, "They voted Ripley Captain." He sighs again, opening them and rocking back onto his behind, so he's sitting on the floor. "Ajax is turning me in for cheating."
Gabrielle looks pretty surprised, "What? Why would they do/that/?" She'll make a small face, "Were you cheating?" She doesn't sound upset, just asking. She'll sit down as well on the floor and brush a lock of hair out of her eyes.
Theodore shrugs, "I don't know. I was Captain last year. Then Ripley shows up this year and… I dunnow." He snarls a little, "I really don't like those Fox twins." He sighs again, and he looks at Gabby, in answer to her question about cheating, he weakly says, "…kinda…?"
Gabrielle will look down and make a face, "Yeah…they're…something." It's a little sad sounding. She'll nod, "What does he know? Maybe we can spin it." She'll give Theo a small smile.
Theodore sighs, and stares at her a long moment. "Can you keep a secret?" he finally asks.
Gabrielle will give a half smirk, "It's one of the only things I /am/ good at."
Theodore nods, "Well…" He thinks a moment, then says, "I have a brain thing. Makes it so I can't read an' write very easily. The words are all jumbly. Letters get backward. So… I KNOW the stuff. It's transfigurations. I do the magic great. I know the subject. But… Popeye does my papers and I copy them. Because, I know the info, I just… the writing isn't… I can't do that part."
Gabrielle will tilt her head and look at Theo. She'll nod softly, "You're dyslexic….that's nothing to be ashamed of." She'll sigh and rub her face, "ok…what are our options. Does Ajax know about Cillian?"
Theodore nods, "Yeah. I didn't think Blue would rat me out." He shakes his head, "I'm not cheating. I mean, I am, but it's not like that, you know?"
Gabrielle nods, "I do. I understand…. Well, you /could/ tell Ajax. He may understand. He's usually more understanding than most of the Prefects." Gabby start to twirl a lock of hair as she thinks, "You're able to copy Cillian's papers? Just not get the words down yourself, right?…Maybe if you dictated to someone, then copied that?"
Theodore sighs, "I dunnow…" He shakes his head, "I don't wanna tell Blue I'm stupid." He turns around so he can lean his back against the stone wall. "I'm just feeling very lost." He shrugs. "I guess you know what that's like."
"You're not stupid. Don't even start that." She'll roll her eyes and then pause when he says she's lost, not sure how to react, "I'm…not lost.I just don't always have the tools I need. But I know where I am." She'll bring her knees up to he chest and rest her chin on them and watch Theo.
Theodore nods at her, accepting her answer, even if he doesn't quite believe her all the way. "Blue wouldn't understand. And… And I don't want to tell him. I know how he'll look at me. I hate the way people look at me when they find out. They don't get it. I'm either pittied or assumed dumb." He shakes his head, "I don't want that from him. I'd rather lose the points."
Gabrielle 's jaw will tighten some, "No…not on the heels of Ripley doing that to you. If you're going to get the position back, you can't lose your house points." She'll sigh, "Look, I /do/ get it….I've had some…problems doing wand work. I get the written part, I just couldn't do the practical side for a long time. It's frustrating beyond belief." she'll look to the ground, flush rising in her cheeks from embarrassment.
Theodore grits his teeth a moment, and then he pushes up to his feet. As he rises, he mumbles, "I just wanna go home and die." He straightens the papers, and he offers a little friendly smile to Gabrielle and a departing nod. "I'm gonna go hit the bag for a while."
Gabrielle wonders out loud, "Does that help? Hitting the bag?" Gabby will look down to her knuckles.
Theodore nods as he begins to walk to the door. "Yeah." He smirks, looking her way, "I pretend it's Ripley."
Gabrielle eyes widen slightly, "That /would/ help….." she'll bite the inside of her cheek, "Let me try to fix this with Ajax? and if I can, will you teach me?"
Theodore tilts his head, "Teach you what?" He furrows his brow a bit, confused. Dumb jock.
Gabrielle blush deepens. "To hit things…for real. And not hurt myself. And to dodge swords."She'll glance up at him through her bangs.
Theodore stares at her a moment. He blinks. Stares a bit more. Another blink as he opens his mouth. Then he closes it, and his head tilts a bit more. Finally, he chuckles, "Um… Sure."
She'll smile brightly up at him from the floor, looking rather small, "Ok."
Theodore nods, and repeats, "Okay." He smiles, and then he heads out the door.
