Lets find the truth, this is Cauldron Talk, with yours truly, Brad Moody.
Good morning, today's first talking point is a term that I have grown rather fond of, The Eye of Truth, as many of you know I am indeed a seeker of just that, the truth. So for those of you who are not yet familar with the term, let me catch you up.
There is a certain symbol out there, a triangle encompassing a circle, both bisected by a vertical line, yes the Mark of Grindelwald. Now I was never a fan of referring to it as his mark, though the new term I have used to describe it, well that, my friends, is truly touching. Because if you haven't already, I recommend you sit down and actually read some of the pamphlets with the Eye of Truth on it, it might just open your eyes to the truth!
Many houses have already started to show their true colors, I highly recommend, if you care about the Greater Good! That you! Start showing your true colors, before it is too late. Put on your Eye of Truth, I have seen them in forms of tie tacks, lapel pins, necklaces and even a few on charm bracelets. Though I urge people to take it a step further, I implore shops who are in support of what is best for the Greater Good, to clearly mark their shop as such, put in your window, so that you can get our patronage. The Children of the Truth's patronage.
Which brings me to my next topic, I am sure that many of you have have started to hear that, I am a radical, an extremist. I want to dismiss this for you, my loyal listeners and my opposition, right now. I am none of those, I am a man who only seeks and shares the truth. As an example I want to share with you a letter I recently received from a concerned Witch named, Susan Underwood.
Dear Mr. Moody, I am a long time listener and first time writer. Recently your sudden focus on current events, has me worried. You carry with you a great deal of influence to the masses. I want to assure you that muggles are not something to be feared, they are mostly harmless. As a muggle-born Witch, I have been around muggles my whole life and do not believe they pose any threat! In fact I believe that the Wizarding worl would benefit greatly, from learning from them. Sincerely, Susan Underwood.
First let me say, thank you Susan for writing me, though I am certainly hurt. Telling me that muggles pose no threat? Certainly you are kidding!? If muggles have proven one thing, it is that they can not even get along with themselves, not to mention their horrid fear of things they do not understand. Revealing ourselves to these, primitives. Who struggle to even take care of their own citizens, would be… catastrophic!
Need I remind any of you, our brothers and sisters who have been burnt at the stake, not to mention all the muggles they burnt? Because they FEARED, they might be one of us? Also what does everyone think would happen? That they would just go, Oh! Okay you can magically do all of these things, take care of me? People you need to open your eyes, the threat is very real, do you want to pass on a legacy to your children that you will regret? A world that you help destroy, leaving your children and grandchildren to pick up the pieces, because you wanted to PITY these muggles?
I really want you to think on that. Next time you walk down Diagion Alley, I want you to consider standing there with your children as muggles try and break into shops and steal the wares, because they are jealous of our talents. Because they do not have a system to take care of their sick and are looking for magic to save their own. No regard for our way of life, of how it will effect us, our children and our world! Personally I worry about the constant shift in being more accepting of muggles, I worry my family, my friends and all of my brother and sisters in wands.
We need to stand up, and say NO! To such nonsense as the Unity Party, before it is too late. Before with proposed Unity destroys everything we hold dear. Though with that thought, I leave you. I would like to remind all of you that I love receiving owls from you, please feel free to write me and if you write an exceptional letter, you may just read it on my show and answer your questions.
