It's a little bit after curfew before Morgana slips into the Common room, she of course was busy herding other people into their own common rooms. She has her casual cloak with her, draped over her arm and her cheeks are a little red, as if she has spent sometime outside. Rumor has it that she may have been at that bonfire tonight, but she didn't mention intending to go. Walking over to the fire, she holds her hands up to it, trying to warm her cold fingers.

Eibhlin is curled into a chair near the fire. She's reading, but by the look of the title it's not school related, just something light for fun. The sound of someone else entering pulls her attention away from the pages and she closes it, leaving it to rest in the chair beside her. "Evening Rashley," she greets softly, not wanting to startle her.

"Evening Shine." Morgana says, turning to look at the younger Ravenclaw with a nod. Moving over to one of the other chairs, she settles in and gives a quick yawn and a stretch. "We did say that we were going to chat today, didn't we? I didn't mean to keep you waiting."

"We did," Eibhlin replies, shifting in her own seat so she's more directly facing the older girl. "Though I'd understand if something came up," she adds. "Anyway, how was your day?"

"I was down at that bon fire, I was asked to tag along. They had nice cider." Morgana says, shrugging just one shoulder before she continues. "I feel like it was the same today as it always is. They all sort of bleed together between drama, classes and meals. And your day?"

Eibhlin nods slowly, "Yeah, they do kind of all blend together like that," she agrees easily enough. "I could do with a few less rumors, but I'll live." Mention of the bonfire has her curiosity piqued however, "How was it? The fire, cider aside?" the question formed and clarified before she shakes her head, "Sorry."

"Oh, I am sure there are many rumors that need to just be… dismissed. However, like I mentioned to someone else, this place is fueled by them." When she asks about the bonfire, Morgana shrugs. "Informative. Mostly, I just wanted to see who had joined Flint's little group, and how serious they were taking it. However I may have confused some people by showing up there but.. I was invited after all." She says with a shrug.

"True," Eibhlin agrees to the rumors. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it?" she replies, an uplift of question in the words, not quite certain if enjoy is really the right word for it. She pauses for a moment, hesitating, "Look, I know we didn't exactly end last year on good terms, but maybe we could give it a second chance?"

"I mostly went to be with friends, and that part of it I enjoyed." The doom of Flint decending and being all perky, not her favorite part. When the bright pink Hippogriff in the room is finally addressed, she clears her throat and nods. "We didn't, but that whole situation was a mess, and.. it didn't get better." That is obvious by how much Morgana has been avoiding others in their house. "I would like to try, if you are willing."

Might was well get it out there sooner rather than later, right? "I was going to say the same thing, I'd like to try. I don't blame you, but like you said it was kind of a mess," she replies with a bit of an awkward smile.

"It's still a mess." Morgana says quietly, reaching up and pinching the bridge of her nose. "But I'm not going to drag you into it, especially since you seem to already have issues of your own to deal with." The awkward smile is mirrored before she leans further back into the arm chair. "I've realized that pushing people away isn't going to solve any of my problems."

Eibhlin ohs, nodding slightly. "Yeah," she agrees, adding "All of which are complete misunderstandings." A sigh, her gaze turning to the fire, "I'm sorry if you're having a bad time of it," she says, turning back to the other girl. "You're probably right about that, and while I know we haven't been the best friends, if you need someone to talk to…" She's willing to listen.

"They usually are." Morgana responds in a thoughtful tone. "There is little that can be done about it, at least until I am out of here. Once I don't have to see the both of them everyday, it will be better. Or at least that is what I tell myself when I mark the day off of my calendar." She'll nod her head at Eibhlin. "I appreciate the offer, and I am sure I'll take you up on it some day."

Eibhlin nods, "Unfortunately," she agrees. Reaching beside her to pick up her book she then moves to stand, "I think I'm going to head for bed. But you're welcome Morgana, and I really do hope it gets better," she offers sincerely. "Have a good night, I'm glad we talked," the redhead adds with a bit of a smile before heading on her way.
