SHOREDITCH, EAST LONDON - A small fire ruined an evening's entertainment at the Gilded Lily nightclub in Shoreditch this morning, burning some of the dance hall furniture but causing what the Fire Brigade called 'superficial damage only'. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is suspected that a short in an electrical outlet caught a set of draperies on fire. No patrons were seriously injured, though two were transported to the London Hospital for treatment of minor injuries during the course of the evacuation.
