It is with the heaviest of hearts that we at the Daily Prophet bring the news that one of the most beloved members of our community, Galaxia Lunet, has passed from this world. The French-born witch lived a life many only dream of, meeting her soulmate, Sparto McKinnon, as a result of the pair being the only contestants to ever tie for first place in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Upon graduation they married and settled in Hogsmeade; they were truly a match made in the stars.
Their time together was long and happy, but never long enough. Sparto was tragically lost in service to his community against dark forces. Galaxia, heartbroken, nevertheless called on her great will to continue ever onward, taking the position of Professor of Astronomy at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was the exact thing she needed to find solace from her loss, and she spent many happy years teaching, regarding the children as an expansion of the family of her heart.
It is with love and gratitude that we go forward through this tragic loss, knowing that Galaxia has found peace once again in the stars, in the arms of her beloved. May her legacy continue through her children, grandchildren, and generations to come.
