Description

Perpetua is a woman, roughly in her early 40s, a known Half-Blood of British heritage. Standing at 5'0" she si around 122 pounds in an overall full figured body type. Her skin tone is exceptionally fair and creamy with expressive blue eyes that are set to either side of a slightly crooked in the bridge nose. Below that nose is a thin set of lips. The rest of her oval shaped face is accented in appled cheeks, a oval-shaped jaw and comes to a round chin. To accent these features she is wearing some purple eye shadow done very lightly and a bit of purple lip rouge. Mid-back length medium auburn red hair is done in an up-do with bangs and two longer wavy forelocks down style framing her oval shaped face. Perpetua smells of lavender perfume. An accent of Chiswick, England can be detected when she speaks.

At the moment Perpetua is going for a flapper-esk style that is all the rage of the 20s and 30s With a black satin shift underneath a sheer black chiffon overdress. The overdress is heavily embroidered with purple and gold patterns. A Deco work of art made to be worn. A long necklace of beads of amethyst and gold is tied in a knot that hands just under her bosom line. The tube like layered dress comes to an end in a calf-length skirt with black and gold leather pumps completing the look.

Background

Born in 1900, March 1st, to two half-blood hardworkers, life was very comfortable growing up for Perpetua Mulciber in Chiswick. Perpetua's father would always say that, "There's always an easier path in life. It just takes hardwork to find it." To the beat of this motto Perpetua marched through life looking for the easiest way to do things. This developed into a penchant for creating things to make her life easier.

Beginning at Hogwarts in 1911 she was sorted into House Ravenclaw. Astronomy was instantly her favorite class. Much of it had to do with feeling a bit naughty at being up at all hours of the night. Perpetua always kept the late night class lively without being disruptive. For electives in her third year she took Arithmancy and Divination. She kept on with both elective classes along with Astronomy into her N.E.W.T. years. Socially she was very well liked and was a Ravenclaw Prefect (1915-1918) that was considered fair and friendly.

The only part of Astronomy that she did not like was those bloody Moon Charts. They vexed her so much that she started to develop the concept and plans for the Lunascope the day after graduation. At a graduation party in Muggle London she met an Army soldier out on the balcony enjoying the telescope there. They flirted and talked about the Universe until morning. Impulsively she became Mrs. Perpetua Fancourt 4 days before Ben was shipped off again. Ben died August 8th 1918 in the Battle of Reims. It was a decisive win for the Allies so Perpetua or Perty as Ben called her couldn't be prouder. She misses her late husband to the day, but the very brief time they had together is celebrated. Perty is not anything like your typical grieving widow. She has never re-married, though has gotten close a few times since.

Life and side projects often distracted her from her favorite project of inventing the Lunascope but on Christmas of 1936 with the help of Macnair Manufacturing the Lunascope has been on the market and doing very well. She's enjoyed the bit of fame the invention has brought her. Traveling about to promote it has been joyous.

Relationships

Lunet Mentor - Perpetua's favorite Professor at Hogwarts. While Lunet forbids the use of Lunascopes in school, preferring her student learn to do Moon Charts without 'cheating' she does give those graduating with Astronomy N.E.W.T.s the special limited edition Gold and silver Lunascopes that Perpetua makes just for her dear mentor.

Benjamin Fancourt Late Husband - At a muggle-born friend's graduation party in London while getting some fresh air after spotting a telescope out on the balcony Perpetua came upon an Army man that was doing about the same thing. Benjamin Fancourt was a handsome devil, looking so very dashing in his uniform. It helped that he had a love of the Universe as well and they spoke about it at length until the sun came up. Ben had recently recovered from a minor injury and was being sent back to the Western Front of World War I the following week. It was a whirlwind romance and she became Mrs. Perpetua Fancourt 4 days before Ben was shipped off. Ben died August 8th, 1918 in the Battle of Reims. It was a decisive win for the Allies so Perpetua or Perty as Ben called her couldn't be prouder. She misses her late husband to the day, but the very brief time they had together is celebrated not mourned for not being longer. Perty is not anything like your typical grieving widow.
