Family History
Descent
Whether from a poor marriage, or a downturn in trade, or a series of tragic loses in a conflict, the family entered a period of decline. If this is the first event the family was probably mingle with less pure bloodlines, or it was a pure-blood marriage, just not an advantageous one. Because of this a lesser branch of the family took to being the 'main branch'.
Glory
A family wins glory through a military victory, personal achievement, or by a great act of heroism. Glory is similar to ascent, but it focuses on he one figure in the family's past. The result of this individual's deeds advances the family's standing. As a first event this should imply that the family was formed as a reward for the great acts of the founder.
Scandal
The family was involved in some disaster, a scandal that haunts them still. Good options include spawning a bastard (worse still a half-blood bastard), incest (Brothers and Sisters, Parents and children - even that's too much for even the more fanatical pure-bloods. Now first cousins on the other hand is fine!), failed conspiracies, and so on. If this is the first event, the scandal somehow was used as a way of covering something else up that allows the family to get Pure-blood status. After all no matter how scandalous, siblings breeding does keep the blood pure!
Revolt
A revolt marks a period of collapse, destruction, and ruin. Most of these results come from an external invasion, either from another pure-blood family, half-bloods, or muggle-borns, or anyone else who just doesn't like your family, but it can also stem from a period of inept rule that led to a widespread revolt. Invasion/revolt as a first historical event means your house was born from the strife and came to power in the aftermath.
Victory
The family achieve an important victory over their enemies. Foes could another family, another faction. Whomever it might be the family rose in prominence and power because of their victory. As a first result this victory was so great (like winning in a Goblin Revolt) that they were considered Pure enough to join the ranks of the Pure-Blood.
